On 3 May, Apasen organises a colourful Eid party that aims to promote inclusivity and diversity. The event brings together people with disabilities from Apasen Opportunity Zone, as well as their carers and friends, to celebrate and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
The Eid party, organized by the Apasen Opportunity Zone, takes place at the organisation’s premises in Carmine Wharf. It features a variety of activities, including music, dance, and traditional Eid food. The event is attended by OZ service users from across Greater London, and the management has made sure that it is accessible to all learners.
While distributing Eid presents among the learners, Apasen Chief Executive Mahmud Hasan MBE says:
“Events like these are important because they promote inclusivity and bring people together. We wanted to create a safe and welcoming space where people with disabilities can come and celebrate Eid with their carers and friends.”

The Eid party was capped off with the cutting of a beautifully decorated cake, which was enjoyed by all the attendees as a sweet ending to the festivities.
