We care for you
Apasen is a UK Registered Charity providing a wide range of social care and community support services to vulnerable people living in East London. Established in 1984 you can read more about the history of how we grown and become recognised for our charitable work here
Our main form of income is through local authorities who contract with Apasen to provide care & support in the community. At present, we provide 6000 hours of home care service provision for 400 service users living in East London every week.
In addition we provide a wide range of timetabled community activities & support, with meeting the needs of people with learning disabilities being our area of expertise.
Our head office is based in Tower Hamlets is purpose built to act as a community hub in one of the most socially & economically deprived areas in London where there is a high level of diversity amongst minority groups. We adopt a policy of recruiting and employing local people providing employment for more than 150 care workers and office-bases staff.
Apasen is governed by a Board Of Trustees who on a voluntary basis offer their wealth of experience and expertise to ensure our service operation as supporting our mission and values.
Our Chief Executive, Mr Mahmud Hassan reports to the Board of Trustees for Apasen and is responsible for service management & development
Leading a team of highly qualified managers and senior staff to maintain a quality service for the people we support and care for. Being a registered provider with the Care Quality Commission the outcome of our last inspection demonstrated us as fully compliant with the Care Standards 2008 Regulations.
Apasen holds several other quality kite marks that are used to give reassurance to our service users, and commissioners that we have genuine commitment and capability as a social care and community support provider.
