Apasen Achieves Investors in People Gold Accreditation

We are delighted to announce that Apasen has been awarded Gold accreditation by Investors in People (IIP), recognising our ongoing commitment to supporting, developing and empowering our people.

Gold accreditation is a significant achievement, placing Apasen among organisations that demonstrate outstanding people management practices and a culture where employees feel valued, supported and inspired to perform at their best. Seven of the nine Investors in People indicators were assessed at Gold level, reflecting the strength of our leadership, culture and commitment to continuous improvement.

The independent assessment praised Apasen as “a good place to work”, highlighting our strong leadership, open and collaborative culture, and unwavering focus on delivering high-quality care. The report also recognised our excellent staff retention rate of 92%, an employee engagement score of 86%, and our continued investment in learning, development and wellbeing.

Assessors commended our people for their passion, dedication and commitment to making a real difference in the lives of those we support. They recognised the positive culture that exists across the organisation, where staff feel seen, heard and valued, and where learning and career development are actively encouraged through our nationally accredited training programmes and leadership development initiatives.

The report also highlighted the progress Apasen has made in strengthening communication, empowering staff to contribute ideas, embracing new technology and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. These developments have enhanced both the employee experience and the quality of services we provide.

Receiving this accreditation is a testament to the dedication of every member of the Apasen team. Despite the challenges facing the wider care sector, our colleagues continue to demonstrate professionalism, compassion and resilience every day, ensuring that the people we support remain at the heart of everything we do. The assessment concluded that our commitment to investing in our people has enabled us to continue delivering exceptional care while building a strong and sustainable organisation for the future.

We would like to thank all our employees, managers, trustees and partners for their invaluable contribution to this achievement. Gold accreditation is an important milestone, but it is also a platform for continued improvement as we build on this success and continue investing in our people, our services and the communities we serve.

Together, we are creating an organisation where people can flourish and where exceptional care continues to make a lasting difference.
