Project Lead
Our teams oversee diverse projects such as the Apasen Lodge, Carers’ Respite along with Social Care Training, providing tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our community. They also champion inclusion through the Disabled People’s Network, promote independence via our Employability Project, and foster meaningful connections through Befriending services in various boroughs.
Through strategic planning, collaboration, and hands-on management, our project leads are the catalysts for change, helping us create a more inclusive and supportive society for all.
Amzad Hossain
Finance Manager
Amzad Hossain is a qualified finance professional (FCCA, ACMA, ACGA) with over 20 years of experience in financial management, including 15 years within public health and care-related sectors. He specialises in financial governance, compliance, and strategic resource management.
Ather Khan
Ather Khan holds a Joint Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Marketing, as well as a Master’s degree in Computer Applications. He brings over 25 years of experience across the charity, voluntary, and private sectors, primarily within health and social care, with expertise in workforce development and organisational growth.
Ayesha Begum
Ayesha Begum holds an undergraduate degree in Human Resources and Business Management from the University of Greenwich. She has 13 years of experience with Apasen, supporting organisational administration and resource management within the health and social care sector.
Bulbul Hasan
Bulbul Hasan holds two Master’s degrees, including a Master’s in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Master’s in English Language and Literature. He has over 20 years of experience in media, communications, compliance, and policy development, with a professional background spanning broadcast journalism, editorial leadership, and strategic communications across multiple organisations.
Fatema Akter
Fatema Akter has over 20 years of experience in health and social care leadership. She holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC). She oversees adult day centres and community networks, ensuring compliant and person-centred service delivery.
Fuad A. Choudhury
Fuad A. Choudhury has over 15 years of experience in health and social care training and workforce development. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Health, Wellbeing and Social Care, an MBA (Marketing), and a Master of Social Science (Sociology), alongside professional training qualifications. He leads Apasen’s workforce development programmes.
Joshim Ahmed
Joshim Ahmed has over 15 years of experience in special needs day services. He holds a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Care and additional qualifications in health and social care and education.
Mohammed Nurul Amin
Mohammed Nurul Amin holds a BA (Hons) in Social Work from the University of East London and has over 20 years of experience in the social care sector. His expertise includes safeguarding, assessment, and service management across voluntary and local authority settings.
Munira Parvin
Munira Parvin holds an MBA and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. She has over 20 years of experience in the social care sector. As Registered Manager, she oversees home and community services, ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding standards, and high-quality person-centred care. Her leadership focuses on operational excellence, workforce development, and service quality improvement.
Pamela Boney
Pamela Boney has over 15 years of experience leading residential care services for adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, and dementia. She holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care and has a strong track record in regulatory compliance and service quality improvement.
Rema Ali
Rema Ali is a Social Sciences graduate from Edinburgh Napier University (2002) and has over six years of experience in the health and social care sector. Her professional background includes frontline care, project management, and service leadership. She is committed to delivering person-centred care, strengthening team performance, and improving service outcomes through practical and strategic leadership.
Syed Zafor
Syed Zafor holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka and is AAT qualified. He has over 22 years of experience in the health and social care sector and has been with Apasen since 2003. He holds an Edexcel Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (QCF), alongside qualifications in Management & Leadership and Health & Social Care, bringing extensive operational and strategic leadership experience across multiple service areas.
Syeda Gulshan Ara
Syeda Gulshan Ara holds a Master’s degree in Management, a Diploma in Managing Advocacy, and an NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance. She has over 21 years of experience in social care and leads Apasen’s Information, Advice and Advocacy Service.
